(open mike readings at 8 pm) The Village Idiots Literary Society proudly announces their monthly literature reading on Friday, September 22, at the Vista Village Art Gallery, 127 Main Street in Historic Vista.  This month's featured artist is award-winning science fiction writer Gary W. Babb. As a business executive, Mr. Babb’s writing experience has been directed toward letters, memos, proposals, and reports.  Earth is Ours is his first effort toward spinning a tale of entertainment.   This first literary effort won him “Best Science Fiction/Fantasy 2005” from the San Diego Book Awards.  The saga continues with the soon to be released sequel, Target Earth.  The third of this series, Earth’s Warriors, is currently being written. Mr. Babb’s presentation begins at 7:00 p.m. followed by an open mike reading at 8:00 p.m.  The mike will be open to all who wish to read their original poetry, prose, or anything written by another artist.  Admission is free, and snacks will be served.                                           ###
